about the ARTIST
Claire is an artist, designer and writer living in Chicago, IL. Originally from northeast Ohio, she received her BFA in Scenic Design from The Theatre School at DePaul with a Concentration in Production Design from the School of Cinematic Arts in 2013. While working as a production designer and art director in independent film thereafter, she also happily gave architecture tours of Chicago for five years before moving to New Orleans to receive her Masters in Architecture in 2021 from Tulane University. In this time she interned at Theatre Projects as an architectural designer, studied and visited Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as part of a travel studio and served on the design team for the award-winning design-build project: Prisoner’s Apothecarts. She also received a thesis commendation for her graduate thesis, agorascope.
In her own time, Claire is an avid writer and completed her first novel in 2023. She lives on the north side of Chicago with her partner and her two lovely cats, Velma and Alfredo.
